Dear Colleagues,
It is my pleasure to announce that Dava Newman will be the next Apollo Program Professor of Astronautics.
Dr. Robert C. Seamans, Jr. provided the vision and foundation gift for the Apollo Chair. Other donors include both individuals and corporations. The chair was formally established at the Lester Gardner Dinner in May 1994 and Larry Young was appointed as the first chair holder.
Please join me in congratulating Dava for a very distinguished career in research and education and for this very well deserved recognition.
