Abstract
The Electronic Visualization Laboratory [EVL] has been a leading contributor to computer graphics and visualization disciplines for more than 40 years. Among the notable contributions are the Death Star animation in Star Wars, the invention of the CAVE and its derivatives, tele-immersion, and visualization software/hardware among others. This presentation will give a brief history of EVL followed by the human factors work aimed to better understand how people respond to virtual environments and how wearable technology [Human Augmentics] can change behavior.
