Guidelines for designing you-are-here (YAH) mapsaboard International Space Station (ISS) are proposed,based on results from previous 3D spatial navigationstudies conducted by our research group andcolleagues. This paper reviews terrestrial YAH maps, thecommon errors associated with them, and how toappropriately implement what is known from terrestrial tomicro-gravity YAH maps. We conclude with a creativeexample of an ISS YAH map that utilizes given guidelinesand information visualization techniques
