Astronaut Joe F. Edwards will stop by to discuss aviation and spaceflight related topics with interested students. Mr. Edwards is the CEO of Polaris Technology Solutions, a company engaged in advanced technology development with the Federal Government, including advanced manned and unmanned aerial systems. He is also an astronaut from NASA’s Space Shuttle-Mir Space Station program, a test pilot and Navy fighter pilot. He led the flight tests of the last two models of the F-14 Tomcat and is a graduate of the US Naval Test Pilot School, the US Navy Fighter Weapons School (Topgun) and the US Naval Academy, where he majored in aerospace engineering. He has master’s degrees in systems engineering, engineering flight test and industrial management.
