"What You Need to Know About Export Control"

Abstract: Everyone in a technology-related career needs to be aware of how Export Control regulations apply to them. Export control constraints can cause unplanned delays in your research programs, affect who can work in your labs, what instruments or technology your international colleagues may have access to, and the practicality of certain international collaborations. Fines and penalties for violation can be severe. This talk will highlight for you the basic concepts of Export Control so you will have a knowledge of when the export control officer should be called for advice and help with your program.
